Algerian President's Resignation Sparks calls for Democracy

Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika was ousted last Tuesday April 2nd after being in power for 20 years. In the capital city of Algiers, many took to the streets to celebrate the departure of the president. The protests are the biggest indicator that the ousting has yet to satisfy tens of thousands of people staged anti-government protests over the last month. Protestors want to get rid of certain officials whom have governed the country since winning independence from France in 1962.
